A mouthful of thorns.
A mouth full of thorns,
A mouth full of lies;
A toothsome snail,
Pigs that can fly.
Riddle me this,
Riddle me that,
Leave me alone,
Don’t abandon me yet.
If you should go,
If you should stay,
Running from sunrise,
Chasing the day.
Bear claws and tumble weeds,
Butterflies and swine,
Diamonds in garbage,
Bird eggs in wine.
This world is confusing,
But don’t run away yet,
Give it a chance,
And better, it will get.

I was sitting in my chair at my orthodontists, and my wires were off on my braces. So I said to my technition "it feels like a mouthful of thorns." and thus, this was born.
of course, I didn't get to write it down until two hours later. For those who might nto know, "Toothsome" actually means "Tasty" or "delicious" |

Confusing indeed, hm? I love how this seems like a list of all the reasons that we should just run away from the world, or reasons why it's so confusing, and then in the end it sort of says "you'll learn to love it, and when you do, you'll really love it."
I wish I could think of more to say to this...It's so good and well-written, and the word-choice is wonderful~ Toothsome...Yay, I learned a new word~!
